BoloEnglish is a place to practise English without fear or judgement. These rules keep it that way. Breaking them can get you banned — sometimes instantly.

Our promise

Everyone deserves to practise English safely — especially women, who too often face harassment online. We combine safety-first design, AI moderation and a human review team so you can focus on learning.

The golden rules

  1. Be respectful. Be kind and patient — everyone here is learning.
  2. Speak English on calls. That’s what everyone is here to practise.
  3. Keep it about learning. No flirting, dating, romantic or sexual talk.
  4. Protect your privacy. Never share phone numbers, social media handles, addresses or other contact details — and never ask for them.
  5. Be honest. Use your real age. Live calls are for adults (18+) only.

Zero tolerance: automatic bans

Abusive, sexual, hateful or threatening words anywhere in the app lead to an automatic ban.

This applies everywhere — on live calls, with the AI tutor, in your name and in reports.

This includes, for example:

  • gaali, insults, bullying or humiliating others;
  • sexual comments, requests or innuendo;
  • hate speech about religion, caste, gender, region, language, disability or sexual orientation;
  • threats of violence or encouraging self-harm;
  • anything that sexualises or endangers children (see our Child Safety Standards).

Safety on live calls

  • 18+ only. You must be at least 18 to join live calls. The AI tutor is available from age 13.
  • Voice only. No video and no photos. Calls are not recorded.
  • No contact details. Phone numbers are never shown to other users. Don’t share yours, or any social handles.
  • You choose who you talk to. Women and men can use the switch — “Talk with men” or “Talk with women” — to decide whether they are matched with the opposite gender.
  • Leave anytime. If a call feels wrong, end it. You never owe anyone a conversation.

How AI moderation works

During live calls, your own microphone audio is processed in short chunks by our server and Google Gemini to give you English tips and to detect abusive, sexual, hateful or threatening speech and non-English talk. The audio is deleted immediately and never stored. Text you type or speak to the AI tutor, your name and reports are checked too.

When serious abuse is detected, the account is banned automatically. We keep moderation records (not audio) as safety records. Read more in our Privacy Policy.

Speaking other languages

We know switching to Hindi or your mother tongue can happen naturally. On calls, the app will gently warn you if you are not speaking English. Repeatedly ignoring warnings leads to suspension or a ban, because it spoils practice for your partner.

Report and block

  • You can report or block any user at any time — during or after a call.
  • Blocked users will not be matched with you again.
  • Our team reviews reports within 24 hours and takes action, from a warning to a permanent ban.
  • False or malicious reports are themselves a violation.

You can also email support@krivyom.com with details (date, time and the user’s name as shown in the app).

Bans and appeals

If your account is banned, you will see a message in the app asking you to contact support. If you believe the ban was a mistake, appeal by emailing support@krivyom.com with your registered phone number and a short explanation. We review every appeal. Creating a new account to get around a ban is not allowed.

Safety tips

  • Use only your first name. Never share your surname, address, college, workplace or schedule.
  • Never send money or move the conversation to another app.
  • Trust your instincts — end the call and report anything that makes you uncomfortable.

In danger? If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 112 (India emergency). For cybercrime, report at cybercrime.gov.in or call 1930. For women’s helpline, call 181.
